As of April, 2008, Wisconsin has 59 County Surveyors of which 29 are full-time and 30 are part-time. Five counties have an elected County Surveyor position. Brown County has a "Contact Person" and Dodge County has a "Senior Land Surveyor." Marinette County still has an active remonumentation program via projects awarded to private land surveying companies and continues to file and index survey related documents under the Survey Division of the Land Information Department.
